Static is a framed original acrylic painting by Nick Purser.

One of the most heavily layered paintings I've done - and one that took the longest by far. It started out as city-scape, and then evolved into almost pure abstraction. The detail and the colours in this mean that I come back to it time and again. It feels profound to me because of the myriad colours, detail and how they hang together like layers of electricity or Static.

Overall framed dimensions: 103 x 103cms, 3.2cms in depth. The frame is an elegant antique gold 'floating' frame with a 5mm space between the canvas and frame edge. Canvas dimensions: 100cms x 100cms, 1.8cms in depth. Stretched 380g canvas. Signed and dated on the reverse.
